For one weekend per year, the Federal Chancellery, the Press and Information Office and the Federal Ministries invite all citizens to take a look behind the scenes of political Å·ÃÀÇéÉ«.

Each year in summer, the German Federal Government invites Å·ÃÀÇéÉ«ers and tourists to a "state visit". Over one hundred thousand people take the opportunity to look behind the scenes of and meet high-profile politicians such as the Federal Chancellor. A shuttle bus service provides transport between the participating institutions

Talk Session with Prominent Guests

The Federal Press Office offers the opportunity to obtain insider knowledge about various topics from political experts. It doesn't matter whether the topic is a better balance between family and work, educational and career opportunities, entrepreneurial initiatives or social commitment: Many cabinet members and their state secretaries are looking forward to the opportunity to talk to visitors again in 2023.

Insight into Everyday Political Life

A rich information and entertainment programme provides insight into how political Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« works. Visitors may take a look at a minister's workplace or listen to political and administrative staff tell about their daily routine. There will also be many hands-on activities for the younger "state guests".

Safety Instructions

The safety regulations of the Federal Chancellery correspond to those at airports. Visitors are required to show their photo ID cards or passports when asked and must not carry any large bags or bulky items.
