The organizer is Zug der Liebe e.V., an association of event organizers, musicians, media professionals and other music enthusiasts. The organizers want the "Zug der Liebe" ("Parade of Love") to be clearly differentiated from major events such as the Love Parade or the Carnival of Cultures and see the event as a political demonstration that aims to set an example for community, love and compassion. The motto for 2025 is "Basses connect".

As in previous years, the demonstration will start at Mauerpark in Prenzlauer Berg. The route leads along Danziger Straße and Landsberger Allee, across Straußberger Platz to the television tower and across Museum Island. Via Unter den Linken, Friedrichstraße and Axel-Springer-Straße, the route finally leads to Oranienstraße, where the parade ends at number 125. The after-party will take place at Ritter Butzke from 10 p.m.
