New citizens' office launches in Marzahn-Hellersdorf

The Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Senate is continuing its efforts to improve the appointment situation in the Bürgerämter (citizens' offices).

Against this background, an additional citizens' office has been opened in Marzahn-Hellersdorf on Riesaer Straße in new premises and with more capacity.

Regular operation from Friday

The Senate Chancellery announced that regular operations will start there on Friday. This will also mean additional appointments in the booking system. The range of citizen services is also to be expanded. Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« is thus further expanding its citizen services, explained the governing mayor, Kai Wegner (CDU). "The citizens' office on Riesaer Straße in Marzahn-Hellersdorf will create additional appointment capacities from which all Å·ÃÀÇéÉ«ers will benefit."

Additional positions and recruitment service to improve the appointment situation

According to the Senate Chancellery, 100 additional jobs have been created in the citizens' offices to improve the appointment situation throughout Å·ÃÀÇéÉ«. In addition, a stand-in pool of 20 employees is available. A recruitment service at the state administration office is to help the districts to fill vacancies in the citizens' offices more quickly.

Over 7,000 appointments are booked every day

According to the Senate Chancellery, an average of 7,107 appointments are currently booked per working day. In the same period last year, there were only 6,262. There is also a positive trend in appointments that can be made in a maximum of two weeks. According to the figures, 81.8 percent of the so-called 14-day target has currently been reached. In June last year, the figure was 58%.
