Å·ÃÀÇéÉ«'s school leavers achieved an average grade of 2.3 this year - the same as in 2024 and 2023.
This is the result of an evaluation by the education administration, which is available to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
Accordingly, 489 young people passed their Abitur (A levels) with the top grade of 1.0. Of the 15,211 candidates in Å·ÃÀÇéÉ«, 14,373 passed the Abitur. The rate of 94.5 percent is slightly higher than in the previous year (93.8 percent). The best female Abitur student in Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« came from a vocational grammar school, the Jane-Addams-Schule, with 899 out of a possible 900 points. The best male Abitur student with 891 points came from Canisius-Kolleg.
At 14 years old, the youngest high school graduate in Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« passed her exams at Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium with a 1.1. "These top grades show the high level of commitment and hard work of both our students and our teachers," said Senator for Education Katharina Günther-Wünsch (CDU). A good degree opens up the best opportunities for further education and life.
